Good in the Hood

So today was my first time putting a hood one when I'm stuck freezing my ass off at home.

To be honest, I have never worn a hood out in public before except that one time when I was trying to avoid Drama Queen.

And even then, I felt uncomfortable.

But today was different, I put it over my head and forgot about it and my ears were really warm.

It's like that solution to my igloo. I love my hood.

Febreze

Yes, if anyone can wonder how random this blog can get. It's about to get pretty random.

So the story behind why I have a new found love for Febreze stems from recent times.

My dad rented out our downstairs to 2 guys who do computer stuff.

Unfortunately, either their body odor or cooking has created this musty smell that unfortunately due to the laws of physics, causes it to rise to the upperstairs portion of the house.

So everyday I had to endure that disgusting smell until finally, I found this bottle of Febreze in my house.

Worked like a temporary charm but still, if it wasn't for the mortgage, we wouldn't have people living downstairs and we wouldn't have musty smells coming from there.

I swear, when those 2 move out. I am going to celebrate like it's the Hong Kong Handover of 1997.

The lack of recent posts is due to the midterm season. To me, it seems worse than the flu season but eh...

Picasa 3

So I was curious enough to try out Google's Picasa 3 which is an album organizer for pictures stored in the computer.

Much like Mac's iLife software, iPhoto; Picasa also has face-recognition technology built-in and I would have to say that in terms of detecting any face, it works. But iPhoto's ability to recognize faces with precision is still better in my opinion.

So I had a bit of organizing to do and it was pretty crazy.
There were so many photos in my computer and I was lucky to have already organized them into folders but when I sorted them by year, I was amazed.

Yeah, sorted out all pictures tagged as me by years. Can't believe the change in appearances in those 5 years. Then again, I can say the same thing about my friends.

Oh My God...They're Back Again

Remember the good old days in the late 90's when everything on TV was annoying, MTV was about music and we had our first black president?

Well, fast forward a decade and a half later and look, it's the Backstreet Boys (men...)

Anyways, the boys dropped a new CD a week ago entitled, "This Is Us" which sounds a lot more contemporary with all the pop you hear on radio (Lady Gaga, Ne-Yo, Jay Sean, etc.)

So far I've only enjoyed 3 songs which were previously leaked anyways (Straight Through My Heart, Helpless, What I Knew Then) but other songs are catchy (PDA, Mascaraed).

This is not an album review by the way. I'll drop in a verdict when Britney's Singles Collection gets released later this month.

Mission: Bachelor Pad

So after surveying what I can do with my spare time.

I saw the unused downstairs space as the perfect place to create my own bachelor pad.

The first goal obviously, is to buy an LCD TV. I'm hoping for 42 inches or more but I can also settle for 32 inches.

Then connect some surround sound around it and set up a couch against the wall since there is a good amount of space.

Lastly, a tall lamp in the corner to give the room a dim atmosphere.

Moon Festivities

Well, it's the moon festival and I just finished half a mooncake.

Its sad, I feel that its not as big of a deal as it was the other years but then again, not everyone is as festive after what our economy has gone through.

So in regards to the picture I put next to this, I was taking the bus home tonight when I saw how bright and detailed the moon was. I also happened to notice fabled "Rabbit on the Moon" outline.

To make a long story short, the rabbit is making an immortality elixir for the Emperor of Qin China.

Facebook Break

It wouldn't be the first time and it definitely won't be the last.

Once again, I find myself in a situation where I can't be distracted by Facebook again. Last time I decided to take a break from Facebook, it was because I needed to get my mind cleared out of my breakup situation (back when you can't hide news feeds that are from others)

Now its simply because its becoming a hectic month with school. Even in my family life, we just had another housing issue with the city and I'm hoping that it will get cleared out and settled as soon as possible.

So with all this going on right now, I can't keep up with this facebook "addiction" that I have.
Oh, interesting note. I've had more than one encounters with someone telling me "You should get settled and get a girlfriend". The only answer I can honestly provide is, either I'm too busy with so much stuff going on at the moment or I'm just not putting too much of an effort into getting one. I'll let others be the judge of that. In other words...no I'm not settled yet.
