I'm Not Paying You Poor Kids

So I checked my SFSU e-mail and what a surprise, another fee increase. The board approved a 20% hike that adds onto that 10% increase from May.

It's all understandable to see this since the economy isn't all that great to begin with but one section of the message just pissed me off.

"In keeping with CSU policy, one-third of the fee increase will be set aside for financial aid, and the approximately 7,800 SF State students who receive State University Grants will receive an increase in those awards"
- Robert A. Corrigan, president

So you mean to tell me that 1/3 of the excess fees that my middle class working parents pay for my tuition; the same tuition that my parents are sacrificing for me that is going to enhance my education in hopes of finding a stable and if-better-or-worse, decent job, is helping to partially pay for a bunch of CHARITY CASE students' tuition? Are you kidding me? Isn't that what the government is for? I bet those 7,800 charity case students won't even give back to the approximately 22,200 students that had to pay their tuition FAIRLY.

Someone give me a couple grands in a grant to pay for my school books and I'll stop ranting on anything regarding a tuition hike.
